“I pledge resistance to the fossil fuel empire. I pledge resistance to the extraction, to the infrastructure, to the export, to the shipping of fossil fuels, not only in the Northwest but around the world. I stand for Indigenous rights, I stand for the Global South, I stand for social justice, because we are one. We are one voice. And we are the red line.”

— Zarna Joshi leading the Pledge of Resistance Dec 12th 2015

We’re talking about mass extinction.

I gave an interview for The Thin Green Line series to explain why climate justice and environmental justice are so critical. Watch the interview and join the movement to defend life on Mother Earth.

Everything is at stake.

Smash the patriarchy to defend Mother Earth.

Zarna Responds

In 2016, I experienced attacks from the establishment. This often happens to brown women but not often on such a scale. Media, cops, organizations, individuals, all targeted me with hate. They still do.

I made a video series to explain what was happening so my community did not become disheartened by those patriarchal intimidation tactics and so that we could all continue to defend Mother Earth together.

I am in solidarity with the youth who have inherited a broken and corrupt world. Because of this I mentor youth to help them step into leadership roles.

Message for the youth

In 2017, I was blessed to meet with Indigenous Elder of the Original Miccosukee Simanolee Nation Aboriginal Peoples Bobby C. Billie. He invited me to stay with him to teach me about his people’s struggles and I was able to make 3 videos with him before he passed.

Watch all 3 videos to imbibe his deep wisdom and learn how to be in solidarity with the Original Miccosukee Simanolee Nation Aboriginal Peoples.

Read my articles that delve deep into the tactics and workings of imperialism and patriarchy.

Decolonize yoga.

As a Hindu woman who was raised to practice yoga every day of my life, it is painful to watch my people’s sacred Indigenous practice be desecrated by capitalism and western supremacy. This session I did in Orlando Florida 2017 educates the people about why they need to change.

Decolonize your soul.

We share this land and water with other species. Let’s dismantle speciesism and create safety and food justice for all.
