About Me

I’m Zarna Joshi, an Indian Hindu woman of Brahmin descent. I was born in the UK, and am based in the USA. I’m a community organizer for climate justice, racial justice, anti-imperialism and decolonizing. I work to smash the patriarchy every day. I’m a writer, public speaker, and direct action activist and my aim is to defend Mother Earth and achieve collective liberation for all.

I’ve been part of campaigns against oil and coal trains, oil and gas pipelines, Arctic drilling rigs, the foreclosure and rental crisis, Indigenous rights, dismantling rape culture, uplifting youth activism, climate justice education, decolonizing yoga, and more. I educate grassroots communities about systems of oppression.

I’m in solidarity with the First Peoples’ of Turtle Island who are struggling against colonial occupation of their land, the Black community in their worldwide struggle against anti-Black racism, Queer and Trans communities working to decolonize their identities and heal from imperialism and settler colonization, and all marginalized Caste communities. I work to defend Hindus from Hinduphobia which causes our genocide and ethnic cleansing.

“There’s nothing better than bringing people together for truth telling because the truth heals. My Hindu ancestors were right: Satyam Eva Jayate = The truth always triumphs.”
