The Collateral Damage of Caste Bills

If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know that in February 2023, Kshama Sawant rammed through a caste ordinance in Seattle. Her ordinance institutionalized Hinduphobia in Seattle disguised as a "civil rights" law.
Every US news media covered it, international media covered it, with every narrative being the same no matter who supposedly wrote the article. Kshama Sawant’s supporters celebrated this caste ordinance that they predicted would lead to caste laws around the world.
Attacks on Hindus immediately increased sharply around the USA. Hindus knew this because they were reporting to each other the attacks they were personally experiencing around the country.
Of course attacks on Hindus would immediately increase. Seattle, led by Kshama Sawant, signaled nationwide that hating Hindus is a social justice milestone. Hating Hindus is “civil rights”, according to them. The Hindus who fought the caste ordinance predicted that violence against Hindus would increase. They sent out this press release to the media before the ordinance passed, so that the media could at least report on the facts and history of caste bills. That press release was ignored.
So it’s heartbreaking but no suprise that the death rates of Indian youth with Hindu names has shot up since the ordinance passed. Our youth have suddenly been dying (ie. killed) around the country ever since Kshama Sawant’s caste law passed.
If any of these youth didn't identify as "Hindu", if they were brainwashed into rejecting their ancestors, if they converted to an Abrahamic religion to gain acceptance, it’s all irrelevant. Hinduphobes don't care about any of that. Even if these youth tried to hide their identity under the imperialist CIA label "South Asian". Hinduphobes kill regardless of how much you reject your identity, your ancestors, your religion, your Indigenous civilization.

As a sidenote, it’s dangerous for me to publish this article. Kshama Sawant’s crowd are vicious and vindictive. After allying with Hindu dalits to fight Seattle’s caste bill, I was doxxed and stalked by Sawant’s Hinduphobic crowd.
Below is a list of the Indian students with Hindu names who've died / been killed since Kshama Sawant's ordinance passed. Look at the dates. They're all during college semesters. Look at the details. Look at the responses from cops.

Masters student at Northeastern University
"sharp, meticulous and full of energy"
"As a woman studying software engineering, she was in the minority at school" — the article says that she was a minority because she was a woman, but ignores how she was a minority because she was an Indian woman.

A $5,000 dollar traffic ticket for Jaahnavi's life. The cop has not paid the traffic ticket.
"In bodycam footage released by the Seattle Police Department, Officer Daniel Auderer laughed about the deadly crash"
"Auderer, who was not involved in the January collision, was captured in the video saying, "But she is dead" and laughing while on the phone. She was 26 anyway," Auderer said in the video, getting her age wrong on top of everything else. "She had limited value."" He also said that the city lawyers should write a check of "$11,000" for her life.
None of the media articles mentioned Seattle's caste bill or the Hinduphobia Seattle's Hindus experience.
The racial justice protests about Jaahnavi's death had nothing to do with her Indian community who were not even invited. The social justice crowd used Jaahnavi's killing for their own agenda while excluding her community and erasing her identity. They called Jaahnavi "South Asian".
Jaahnavi wasn't "South Asian". She wasn't from Pakistan or Bangladesh or Nepal or Sri Lanka or Bhutan. She was from India and Jaahnavi is a Hindu name.
The Seattle Police officer killed her in January 2023 just one night before Kshama Sawant proposed her caste bill on January 24 2023.
The public didn't find out about Jaahnavi's death until 9 months later in September 2023 despite bodycam footage, street surveillance footage, and many other evidences.
Why do you think the public in Seattle was not informed of this cop killing of an Indian student with a Hindu name, right when Seattle was discussing a racist Hinduphobic bill?

We don't know the cause of Uma's death.
There aren't photos of Uma online.
Uma's gender is not clear. The articles say "he" but the brief obituary says "she". Uma is a feminine name but depending on the family tradition and Indigenous matrilineal / patrilineal context Uma could be either.

Why would Sameer kill himself when he was doing so well? What was so wrong in his life? Did he leave a suicide note? Were there signs of his intention before the event? Where did he get the gun?

He was missing for over 10 hours in Illinois's brutal winter cold.

An athlete "widely known in the Columbus cricket community."
He was "shot and killed while at work" at a gas station.

One suspect has been charged with murder.

He was the only person from his family in the USA.
His widowed mother in India has no one left. He was her only child.

There are no "anti-racist organizations" keeping track of the violence against Indians or Hindus (not all Hindus are Indian). Hindus don’t count as far as they’re concerned.
I worked with Hindu Dalit leadership and allies to prevent Seattle's caste bill because we knew the violence it would unleash. No matter how many factual points we made about the lethal history of caste bills or our lived experience of the trauma of caste laws, neither the city council nor the Mayor listened to us. They had already determined to pass that law regardless of what the facts said. Only one city council member met with us and he didn’t bother showing up to the vote (although at least he didn’t vote for it). All the rest of them ignored us even though we were led by Hindu Dalits.
Do you think that maybe the city of Seattle kept Jaahnavi's killing by cops quiet so that Kshama Sawant's Hinduphobic caste law would easily pass? Because that's what I think.
We managed at the 11th hour to stop California's state caste bill but the damage caused by Seattle's law is extensive and forever. These youth are dead and no amount of social justice excuses is going to bring them back. And even more castes laws are being proposed around the country by the same dangerous crowd that pushed Seattle’s law.

Suman and Indrani Kundu’s son was 2 years old when an adult beat him almost to death.
The media didn't mention the baby's race or religion.
Always remember: Whenever a crime is committed on a non-white person in the USA and the media doesn't mention both the race / religion of the victim or the race / religion of the perpetrator, it's probably a brown Hindu victim and an Abrahamic perpetrator. That is what Hinduphobia looks like.
That's how the racist colonial system keeps Hindus from even realizing how dangerous the west is for Hindus. So they get tricked by “anti-racist” organization narratives that Hindus don’t count as oppressed.
Some will say that if the violence against Indians / Hindus is largely done by non-white people then it can't be prejudice or bigotry. Wrong. People talk about "anti-Asian hate" all the time despite how many of the crimes committed against Asians are committed by non-white people. Trying to erase bigoted violence done to Hindus because it’s not “racist” is just more Hinduphobia.
This was not easy for me to research or write or publish. There will be a Hinduphobic backlash from Sawant’s vicious crowd and all the other Hinduphobes in the world.
But Hindu youth are dying.
